smash book pages

Have you heard of smash books? I try to steer clear of overly commercialized craft products, but this one really got me. What sent me running out to buy one was actually the combination pen/glue stick that comes with each one. Why hasn't anyone thought of that before?  And with one of those Michael's coupons, it was only about 6 dollars. The version I picked is "Doodle Red".

I'm using my book as a little museum of the scraps of paper, pictures I've taken, and other (mostly) flat things I would never want to throw out.  Here are some pages-in-progress from mine.  There is still plenty of room for more stuff!

For more glued down goodness, check out the book I made out of a ledger a little while ago.

  1. Hmmm. I've never done (or even heard of) smash books... BUT I do have a filing cabinet full of that flat stuff you never want to throw out. You may have just solved my paper memories issue and given me back my filing cabinet (for business and important paper stuff!). Sweet.

  2. I've never been big on scrap booking or paper art, but I definitely fell for the Smash books! It's a good way for me to save all those random pieces of paper I have memories attached to, like old tickets or magazine cutouts, that would just fill up my drawers. Yours is cute and it reminds me of how much I want to buy washi tape.
